Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank 'ADCB' has recently won two prestigious awards for its 'Etihad Guest Above Credit Card', co-branded with Etihad Airways; the first was the Freddie Award for 2012, which recognised the card as the 'Best Loyalty Credit Card' in the Middle East, Asia and Oceania regions, and the second was the 'Best Premium Card' in Middle East' at the Smart Card Award Middle East 2012, where cards and payment programmes in the Middle East were credited and celebrated for being able to demonstrate commercial success through innovation in strategy, product development, value proposition, customer service and partner benefits.
Winning such prominent awards is a significant recognition of the bank's long term commitment to continuously delivering world-class products and services to the market that meet the highest global standards. This distinct approach has made the ADCB co-brand card programme stand out amongst a large number of similar airline co-branded card programmes operating in the vast geographic regions of Asia, Middle East and Oceania.
On this occasion, Arup Mukhopadhyay, Executive Vice President and Head Consumer Banking at ADCB, said: "At ADCB we are committed to providing the best services to our customers. The "Etihad Guest Above Card", is designed to meet our customers' daily needs while at the same time offering them a flexible reward scheme that enables them to enjoy the benefits of Etihad's global network. We are delighted to receive such recognition from two international awards bodies; we have always endeavoured to meet our customers' needs and we hope our customers will continue to enjoy the benefits of the "Etihad Guest Above Card".
Etihad and ADCB teamed up in 2010 to offer the co-branded credit card to customers across the UAE, available through Classic, Gold, Platinum or Infinite cards and exclusively via the Visa International network.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways Chief Commercial Officer, said: "We are honoured to see our partnership with ADCB receiving such prestigious accolades. To be recognised as the best in what is a highly-competitive region, demonstrates our mutual commitment to delivering a product which is innovative, flexible and, most of all, rewarding for our guests, supported by the unique benefits of our leading Etihad Guest loyalty programme."
Marcello Baricordi, General Manager for Visa in the UAE, said: "By collaborating with Eithad and ADCB, we have been able to offer customers a loyalty credit card which has provided real value to our customers' travel experiences. We are delighted to have received recognition from two highly regarded award bodies, which illustrates just how well received the product has been in the region."
Customers receive value added, exclusive benefits through the Etihad Guest Above Credit Card, including up to 2 Etihad Guest miles for every USD $1 spent, fast track enrolment to Etihad Guest Gold & Silver tiers, complimentary Golf access and up to 50,000 Etihad Guest miles as a welcome bonus.
