BP Oman general manager Dave Campbell said that BP Oman plans to increase its drilling activity in the Khazzan project to unlock the massive unconventional gas reserves in the field, Times of Oman reported. So far, more than 15 wells have been drilled and five or six more wells will be drilled by the end of 2014, Campbell told reporters on Monday on the sidelines of a function to inaugurate BP Oman’s Technicians Training Centre in Ghala. “We have, at the moment, two drilling rigs, and by the middle of next year to the end of next year, we will have eight drilling rigs. So we are ramping up the drilling activity,” he added
