CBB raises key interest rate in June

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has decided today and effective immediately to raise its key policy interest rate.

CBB’s key policy interest rate on the one-week deposit facility raised from 1.25 per cent to 1.5 per cent.

The CBB has also decided to increase the overnight deposit rate from one per cent to 1.25 per cent and adjust both the one-month deposit rate from 1.75 per cent to 2.15 per cent , and the lending rate from three per cent to 3.25 per cent.
