Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the monthly issue of the Sukuk Al-Salam Islamic securities, has been oversubscribed by 205 per cent.
Subscriptions worth BHD 88 million were received for the BHD 43 million issue, which carries a maturity of 91 days.
The expected return on the issue, which begins on 24th May 2017 and matures on 23rd August 2017, is 2.20 per cent compared with 2.23 for the previous issue on 19th April 2017.
The Sukuk Al-Salam are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This is issue No.193 (BH0001879020) of the short-term Sukuk Al-Salam series.
