Etisalat announced the commercial launch of its Managed Voice (PBX) Service – a flag-ship of its extensive managed services portfolio.

Businesses can now benefit from enhanced quality of communications, cost-effectiveness and operational scalability with this solution offering. Managed Voice service will provide a comprehensive fully managed, end-to-end voice solution for enterprise IT environments, enabling businesses to reduce total cost of ownership through robust cash flows and employee productivity through business continuity and focus on core .

The new enterprise telephony services will include end-to-end telephony solutions. including network infrastructure design and engineering, installation, configuration and test turn up, and operation and life cycle support.

Abdulla Ebrahim Al Ahmed, acting senior vice-president, Business Solutions, Etisalat said: “we will extend your reach by reaching your extension, in a proactive, fully managed and hassle-free manner. Voice communication is an extremely critical and yet often an ignored aspect of business. Being a basic element of communication process, ensuring high quality of voice communication is essential for business today. Through Managed voice service, businesses will now be able to monitor their voice communications performance and proactively reduce network anomalies and ensure faster problem resolution. Moreover, businesses will also be able to prioritize traffic, based on business requirements.”

Increasingly, medium-sized to large enterprises are considering using IP-based voice services to replace traditional PBX. These converged networks are more complex, and dynamic environments than traditional voice networks. In a converged environment, voice is just another application that shares the network resources with other applications like data, and can be greatly affected by performance issues on the network. Latency and delays in voice applications can cause huge losses to business. Hence, a managed voice service becomes necessary to monitor the Voice performance on a network.

“Managed Voice offering will enable customers to implement a seamless IP Telephony solution that will not only provide higher cost savings and productivity enhancements, but also ensure high network availability, technology scalability and much more,” added Abdulla Ebrahim Al Ahmed.

Furthermore, it will strengthen the existing Managed services proposition from Etisalat. Etisalat has invested in developing a state-of-the-art customer network operations center (CNOC), a collaborative IT infrastructure and superior knowledge capital manned by certified IT professionals, to offer a combination of flexible, secure services and comprehensive support to our customers.
