GFH Financial Group (GFH) announced its platinum and mobile app sponsorship of the 22nd Annual World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC 2015).
It will be held in Bahrain under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
For the third year running, GFH will lend its support to the Islamic summit, which is also backed by the Central Bank of Bahrain and scheduled to be held in the kingdom from Tuesday to Thursday.
As a long-standing industry player and sponsor of the WIBC, GFH will be represented at the event by a delegation of its board members headed by Dr Ahmed Al Mutawa and senior management team, highlighting GFH’s ongoing commitment to supporting the industry’s growth and financial technology innovation.
The group will also take part as an exhibitor with a team of its investment managers available to present the group’s regional and international investment opportunities and projects to investors and potential partners.
The three-day event will focus on the power of technology, social media and cutting-edge research to give delegates a powerful outlook to the trends shaping the global financial services industry. Under the theme “New Realities, New Opportunities” the conference will discuss the role of technology in delivering financial services – as a bridge towards greater financial inclusion of the 72 per cent of Muslims around the world who do not have access to financial services.
More than 1,300 high-level experts from 50 countries are expected to take part.
