International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) has been recognised as “Best Private Bank Qatar 2015” and for “Best Customer Loyalty Programme Qatar 2015” during the Global Banking and Finance Review Awards 2015.

IBQ managing director Jabra Ghandour said, “We are honoured to receive the “Best Private Bank Qatar 2015” award as it recognises that IBQ is the private bank of choice in Qatar. We have developed enduring and long-lasting relationships with our clients for more than 50 years.

“Offering them access to high-quality services from a trusted and reliable partner has meant that we have been perfectly positioned to help them meet their financial and wealth management objectives.”

He added, “We are also delighted to have won the “Best Customer Loyalty Programme Qatar 2015” award for our unique thanq rewards programme, as it recognises our innovative approach to retaining customer loyalty to our brand by delivering the ultimate in retail banking services.”

IBQ DGM and head of private banking Chaouki Daher said, “We are proud to have received this significant industry award. Being recognised by Global Banking and Finance Review as the best private bank in Qatar underlines our private banking division’s excellent offerings for private wealth management services.

“It also highlights how IBQ is fully-focused on providing the best banking customer service and financial expertise of any organisation in Qatar to high net worth individuals.”

With a tailor-made suite of banking and wealth management services, IBQ Private Banking has maintained its position as a truly pioneering Qatari bank, the bank said. Its long-standing legacy within the local high net worth and ultra-high net worth community dates back to the early beginnings of the bank in the 1950s.

IBQ has also pioneered award-winning and highly-popular initiatives such as the thanq loyalty programme, which offers IBQ customers the opportunity to accumulate points across a wide range of IBQ products and services and redeem them to book travel on more than 800 airlines and 160,000 hotels worldwide.

Since its inception in 2011, the Global Banking and Finance Review Awards reflects the innovation, achievement, strategy, progressive, and inspirational changes taking place within the global financial community.

The awards were created to recognise companies of all sizes, which are prominent in particular areas of expertise and excellence within the financial world. IBQ has maintained a consistent track record of winning many awards and international accolades for its private banking and retail customer services through the years.
