Jiangling auto sales in May drop by 16pct YoY

China Knowledge reported that Jiangling Motors Corp Ltd one of China major carmakers auto sales decreased 16.2% YoY to 14,056 units in May.

In a statement filed with Shanghai Stock Exchange, the automaker saw its sales of Ford commercial vehicles dropped 26.7% YoY to 3,431 unties for last month.

The sales of JMC truck and JMC pickup and SUVs reached 5,651 and 4,974 units down 3.8% and 19.9% YoY respectively.

Last month, Jiangling produced 14,933 units of vehicles, 9.2% lower than it realized in the same month of 2011. During the first five month period, the company auto sales totaled 87,521 units decreased by 2.8% YoY.
