China Knowledge quoted according to the latest statistics released by the Jiangsu Statistics Bureau, East China Jiangsu Province saw its gross domestic product grow 9.9% YoY to CNY 2.54 trillion in the first half of this year.
The growth rate was 2.1 percentage points higher than the national average of 7.8% in the period. Value-added output in the primary industry rose 4% YoY to CNY 110.1 billion in the first six months, and that in the secondary sector grew 10.9% YoY to CNY 1.39 trillion. The tertiary sector generated CNY 1.04 trillion up by 9.1%YoY.
The value added output of industrial enterprises each with core business revenue of at least CNY 200 billion in the province rose 12.2% in H1 to CNY 1.29 trillion and the growth rate was 0.2 percentage points higher than that in Q1.
The province's retail sales grew 14.9% YoY to CNY 889.23 billion in H1. Fixed asset investment amounted to RMB 1.43 trillion in the period, up 20.6% YoY and export value climbed 4.1% to USD 153.52 billion.
The province saw its fiscal revenue grow 12.9% to CNY 297.56 billion in H1.
