The QE Index advanced to reach at 11,243.35 levels on Wednesday 29th Jan 2014, achieving 0.65 percent or 73.10 points for the session.
Large Cap and Med Cap indices ended the day in the green area.
QE sectors indices turned green in today’s trading session except Consumer Goods that dropped nominal 0.01 percent. Insurance and Bank & Financial Services sectors was the best performing sectors of the day, surging 1.85 percent and 0.92 percent respectively. Transport and Telecom Sectors followed them with 0.56 percent each.
Qatar National Bank and Masraf Al Rayan appeared at top among big players, rising by 1.85 percent and 1.01 percent respectively.
The market breadth was strongly positive with 23 issues witnessing advances against 13 declining issues.
Qatar Insurance Company turned in a splendid performance among all Qatari stocks, soaring up 2.35 percent to close the day at QR 78.2.
Gulf Warehousing Company led the chart of most active stocks, capturing 13.52 percent of the overall market volume.
Mannai Corporation led the chart of losers’, dropping 2.88 percent.
