Kuwaiti firm inks 20-year gas contracts with Iraq

Kuwait Energy Company (KEC) signed on Sunday, two 20-year Gas Development and Production Service Contracts with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil for the Siba and Mansuriya fields. Both fields were won by Kuwait Energy and its partners during Iraq's Third Petroleum Licensing Round in October 2010. Iraq signed the final contracts on Sunday to develop the two gas fields in deals involving Turkish, Kuwaiti and South Korean companies that will help diversify the country's fossil fuel production.
