The bank’s financing of the agricultural sector is driven by a policy set forth by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry (MOA). Agrobank operates through 190 branches throughout Malaysia, and employs over 3,400 employees.
A launch ceremony to mark Agrobank’s debut as a full-fledged Islamic banking Institution was held on 30 June 2015 at Sasana Kijang together with a forum entitled ‘The Implementation of Economic Jihad in Islam: New Perspectives’.
