The MSM 30 Index declined by 0.56 per cent to close at 6,758.91 points. MSM Sharia Index closed at 1,064.84 points, down by 0.35 per cent.
Al Sharqia Investment Holding was the most active in terms of volume while Omantel was the most active in terms of turnover.
Port Services which gained 1.36 per cent was the top gainer of the day, while Al Batinah Development declined by 3.21 per cent made it the top loser of the day.
A total number of 1,029 trades were executed in yesterday's trading session generating turnover of OMR4.76 million with over 11.67 million shares traded.
Financial Sector Index closed at 8033.91, a decline of 0.79 per cent. Bank Sohar was up by 0.45 per cent to close at OMR0.222.
Industrial Sector Index closed at 10,214.59 points, down by 0.42 per cent. Al Jazeera Steel and Al Anwar Ceramics increased by 0.44 per cent and 0.34 per cent respectively.
Services Sector Index declined 0.07 per cent to close at 3,627.10 points. Port Services, National Gas, OIFC and Omantel increased.
