Under the patronage of Muna bint Mahfudh al Manthari; Adviser to Regulatory Authority for TV and Radio, Oman Arab Bank celebrated Omani Women’s Day at the Bank’s Main Office in Al Ghubrah. The celebration was attended by Amin al Husseini, CEO and a number of bank officials. During the celebration 16 female employees who completed 25 years in service at the bank were honoured by the chief guest and the CEO and received recognition certificates and gifts.

It is worth mentioning that the management of OAB provides equal opportunities for Omani women to prove themselves and become on par with men in the organisation as they are equally treated in the society.

Omani woman has proven herself to be trust worthy in different fields and positions and has been held accountable both inside her home where she bear the responsibility of raising generations and at the same time in working organisations as ministers, ambassadors, managers and officials.

The chief guest commented: “The Omani woman is equally important in contributing for development and achievement to the society,” then she praised the honouring of the senior females employees of the bank who completed 25 years and praised their role in success of the bank.

Amin al Husseini added that it was truly a pleasure to celebrate the Omani Women’s Day and to honour the female employees who completed 25 years in service at the bank. He said, “We are proud of having female cadres of such professionalism and commitment; the management encourage females to capture opportunities and perform well at work.”

Women represent 35.6 per cent of the 1,179 employees of OAB staff workforce, as there are 67 branches and offices all over the Sultanate. The bank management gives due care to the training and qualification of these female employees.
