MSM30 Index continued its uptrend to close at 6,325.25 points, up by 0.56 per cent. The MSM Sharia Index closed at 958.42 points, up by 0.15 per cent. Oman & Emirates Holding was the most active in terms of volume while Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover.

ONIC Holding, up by 5.00 per cent was Monday's top gainer while Construction Materials, down by 2.27 per cent, was the top loser.

A total number of 996 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR5.31 million with more than 18.8 million shares changing hands. Out of 51 traded securities, 20 advanced, 10 declined and 21 remained unchanged. At the session close, Omani Investors were net buyers for OMR713,000 followed by GCC & Arab Investors for OMR3,000 while Foreign investors were net sellers for OMR716,000 worth of shares.

Financial Index had strong gains of 0.90 per cent to close at 7,853.60 points. ONIC Holding, Ominvest, Ahli Bank, NBO and Al Madina Investments increased 5.00 per cent, 3.64 per cent, 2.37 per cent, 1.94 per cent and 1.54 per cent respectively. Al Sharqia Investments, Bank Muscat, United Finance and Al Anwar Holding declined 1.27 per cent, 1.12 per cent, 0.82 per cent and 0.37 per cent respectively.

Industrial Index advanced 0.50 per cent and closed at 8,249.34 points. Galfar Engineering, Al Hassan Engineering, Oman Fisheries, Oman Cement and Voltamp Energy increased 3.05 per cent, 1.69 per cent, 1.67 per cent, 1.26 per cent and 1.03 per cent respectively. Construction Materials, Oman Flour Mills and Gulf International Chemicals decreased 2.27 per cent, 1.57 per cent and 0.43 per cent respectively.

Services Sector Index ended the day at 3,455.68 points, up by 0.07 per cent. Sahara Hospitality, Renaissance Services, OIFC, Port Services and Al Maha Petroleum increased 2.04 per cent, 1.08 per cent, 0.88 per cent, 0.44 per cent and 0.23 per cent respectively. Sohar Power, Al Suwadi Power and ACWA Power declined 1.59 per cent, 0.52 per cent and 0.47 per cent respectively.
