Omantel, the leading provider of integrated telecommunication services signed a five-year agreement with National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) — Oman to provide MPLS service to link the bank branches located in different governorates which contributes to enhancing the services provided to NBAD Oman customers, as well as speeding up the process of communication between the branches through a highly secured network.
Commenting on the agreement Salah al Balushi (pictured), Manager of Financial Sector Sales, Omantel: “We are proud of the trust of NBAD Oman in selecting Omantel to provide the bank with our state-of-the-art MPLS service for one of its major projects which will enable the bank to obtain high speed services and increase efficiency throughout the different branches in the Sultanate.” Omantel MPLS service will allow NBAD Oman to link 9 of its branches along with a number of ATM machines which will help the bank to provide a highly secured service to its customers.”
NBAD Oman commented on this agreement: “Our bank seeks to provide a high standards of quality service to our customers through the different branches over the Sultanate. The MPLS agreement with Omantel will help us in linking all our branches over the sultanate securely with high speeds which will ensure delivering on our commitment to provide quality services to our customers.”
NBAD launched its first Oman branch in 1976, the only UAE bank in the Sultanate of Oman. NBAD Oman uses the latest technology to deliver the best banking services including wealth management, trade finance and deposits and serve all segments in personal and corporate banking.
Omantel has been awarded ISO 27001 certification for MPLS Service. ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) is the world’s largest developer and publisher of International Standards. Omantel is also considered as one of the first companies in the GCC to have received its MPLS Service certified for ISO 27001. This award is believed to build customer confidence and reliability for choosing the company as the MPLS Service provider.
