More than 500 Qatargas employees were recognised at a recent event for their outstanding performance and continuous years of service to the company.
The annual event, which is held to acknowledge the commitment and dedication of Qatargas employees, included two awards - the Long Service Awards and the Shukran Award.
The Long Service Awards recognise employees for their dedicated long-term service to the Company, and the Shukran Award recognises outstanding achievements by Qatargas employees.
The valued contribution of Qatargas employees has been instrumental in making Qatargas what it is today – the World’s Premier LNG Company.
Commenting on the Long Service Awards, Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, CEO, Qatargas, said: “Let me start by congratulating all of you who are here to receive the Shukran Award. This award is in recognition of your outstanding performance and valuable contribution towards achieving the company’s business goals. I would therefore like to say my personal ‘shukran’ to all of you, and encourage you to keep up this high level of performance. I would also like to extend my congratulations to those of you who have received a Long Service Award. This award is a reflection of your hard work, professionalism and contribution to the success of Qatargas over many years.”
During the ceremony, a total of 185 Qatargas employees received the Shukran Award in recognition of their exceptional performance in 2015. In acknowledgement of their hard work, professionalism and contribution to the success of Qatargas over many years, 362 employees received a Long Service Award.

In particular, Qatargas is committed to developing its National workforce with its Qatarization development plan, which prepares National employees with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in key roles in the Company.
