The Qatar Exchange stepped down to 11,170.25 points on Tuesday 28th Jan 2014; The QE Index spending most of the session in red territory trimmed 75.61 points or 0.68 percent for the entire session.
On year-to-date basis, the index showed a collection of 7.61 percent.
Large Cap and Small Cap indices witnessed a negative change.
Telecom sector showed the worst performance, declining 3.5 percent. Banks & Financial Services sector dropped 0.84 percent.
Five out of the top ten heavyweights finished to the downside, with Ooredoo dipping by 4.24 percent. The company has also been able to lead the chart of major losers’.
Qatar German Company for Medical Devices led the gainers’chart, advancing 1.79 percent.
Vodafone Qatar topped the volume chart by capturing 16.04 percent of the overall market volume.
