Qurum Business Group (QBG) has received three globally-recognised certifications from GCAS Quality Certifications, one of the world's leading International certification bodies, after passing its first Integrated Management System (IMS) audit.

Qurum Business Group successfully achieved ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management, and OHSAS 18001 for occupational health and safety management.

This recent milestone will enable QBG to effectively enhance its operations, monitor group wide procedures and streamline business performance.

The ISO certifications are awarded following a rigorous independent audit procedure that analyses every aspect of company management systems to identify potential risks. QBG provided extensive evidence and samples of its sites, functions, products, services and processes to meet the stringent criteria.

Global standards

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Hosni, vice-chairman and president of Qurum Business Group, said, "The certifications are the culmination of the dedication of the entire Group as we worked together to gather evidence of QBG's best practice procedures. By demonstrating our commitment to continuous improvement, the certifications outline a roadmap for QBG to increase performance, customer satisfaction and employee safety. Achieving international standards in three of the required categories is a major step forward for QBG, and reflects the hard work and commitment of each and every one of our employees."

ISO 9001 certification focuses on QBG's ability to consistently provide customers with a product that meets expectations while also identifying and resolving areas of potential weakness.

In order to meet the ISO 14001 criteria, QBG displayed its environmental management framework and the procedures by which the company actively reduces harmful effects on the environment to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste and minimise costs.

Employees' safety

By implementing an occupational health and safety management system, Qurum Business Group has demonstrated to regulators, customers and employees that the company operates in accordance with the latest legislation and maintains a commitment to assuring the safety of employees and the wider public.

Qurum Business Group employs more than 4,000 professionals throughout its operations that include construction, engineering, landscaping, facilities management, and financial services.

With over 40 years of experience, QBG remains deep-rooted in Oman by nurturing and growing businesses within the country and extending the company's diverse portfolio beyond its borders to the Middle East, Europe and Indian sub-continent.

Through joint ventures with leading companies from Oman and around the world, QBG has become the partner of choice in the sectors in which it operates and adds value to each company in the group.
