The National Real Estate Company, a property developer, announced on Wednesday a partnership with United Projects for Aviation Services Company (Upac) to develop Reem Mall in Abu Dhabi.
According to the agreement, Upac, a Kuwaiti real estate management company, will invest up to $224 million (Dh822 million) on the project.
Reem Mall is set to be a two-million-square-foot retail, leisure, dining, and entertainment destination on Reem Island.
Construction on the $1 billion project will start in 2015, with the mall expected to open its doors in 2018.
