Sensex soars 400 points, Nifty above 5250 on GAAR, EU hopes

The Sensex jumped over 2 percent, rising over 400 points to its highest in two months on Friday, led by gains in ICICI Bank, RIL and ITC. The broader Nifty index traded above the key 5,250 mark, up 2.1 percent at 5,261.60.

The BSE Sensex surged over 2 percent, hitting its highest levels since May 2, while the NSE index also gained 2 percent.
