The benchmark Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) dug in at 8,480.1 points on Monday.
It rose over one percent just after the opening bell and spending entire session above the breakeven line gained 0.69 percent.
All market cap indices ended the day in the safe area, with Small cap adding 1.6 percent. Fourteen sectors accumulated an aggregate of 1,590 points.
Media and Publishing turned in a splendid performance among sectoral indices, surging more than four percent to 2,246.29.
Transport and Agriculture were other significant advancing sectors, appreciating by 3.75 percent and 3.06 percent respectively.
Only Telecommunication & Information Technology sector turned red, dipping by 3.46 percent to 1,844.97.
Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) showing excessive losses of 9.84 percent became the major decliner at Tadawul, closing the day at SR 38.5.
Most of large caps witnessed a positive change, with Saudi Electricity Co. outdid rest of its heavyweight peers, growing by 1.66 percent to SR15.25.
Market breadth with advance-decline ratio of 8.8:1 was extremely strong.
Saudi Research and Marketing Group remained at top position among all Saudi equities, soaring up 9.74 percent to close the day at SR 16.9. Dar Al-Arkan Real Estate rose 9.64 percent but still closed below the par value.
Share price of Al Alamiya Insurance climbed to an all-time high, showing an increment of 9.19 percent to SR97.03.
Most of the trading was also concentrated in Dar Al-Arkan with 140.7 million shares, capturing 35.2 percent of Tadawul volume.
The company volume went 4.1 times high over its 50-day average. It topped the value chart as well, pumping SR1.2 billion into the market.
Market activity remained a little high as compared to previous day; turnover went up by 37.6 percent on volume basis and 30.8 percent in terms of liquidity.
Roughly 400 million shares worth SR 7.8 billion were poured into the market. The 50-day average for trading turnover is closer to 305 million shares worth SR8.1 billion.
