The Saudi stock market inched up to reach at 6,882.87 levels during the first hour of trading on Saturday 29th Dec 2012. The index while trading between a range of 33 points added 16.16 points or 0.24 percent.
The market breadth was strongly positive with advance – decline ratio of 3.6:1
Saudi sectors indices showed a tremendous performed. Twelve of the sectors traded positively, adding 257 points collectively.
Only Industrial Investment and Petrochemical Industries sectors traded negatively, trimming nominal 0.1percent and 0.08 percent respectively.
Multi Investment and Insurance sectors outperformed, surging 1.88 percent and 1.65 percent respectively.
Amana Cooperative Insurance Company topped the chart of major gainers with positive 10.00 percent. While, Al Sagr Company for Cooperative Insurance topping the chart of major losers, dropped 1.44 percent.
Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Company with more than 5.2 million shares occupied the chart of the most active stock.
