Vodafone Qatar yesterday unveiled a new ‘Connect Plans’ scheme that provides customers with a multiple option of choosing a combination of mobile data and talk time on their way.

The Vodafone Connect initiative, which is part of Vodafone Group’s commitment to bringing Telecom innovation to Qatar, combines telecom innovation with experiences customers will be keen to opt for.

The scheme comes with four Postpaid Plans with a set number of Flex that customers can use the way they want, there are no more set voice or data allowances.

The Plan offers maximum flexibility, and customers can carry forward their unused Flex to the following month so they do not lose what they don’t use. Under the plan calls to family members are free within a Connect account.

The launch was held at the Four Seasons Doha in the presence of Vodafone’s senior Executive team and members of the press.

Inaugurating the event, Mohamed Al Sadah, Chief Operating Officer of Vodafone Qatar, said: “Thanks to the power of Vodafone’s global network, in the past two months we were able to launch the Vodafone Global M2M Platform and My Vodafone App. And here we are again today bringing our expertise and innovation from all over the world to bring for the first time in Qatar, Vodafone Connect that brings maximum flexibility with no restrictions in addition to things customers love. Vodafone Connect strongly demonstrates how Vodafone is here to give Power to You, our customers.”

Mohamed Mursi, Head of Postpaid at Vodafone Qatar, added: “For Qataris Vodafone introduced Red and London Edition with exclusive telecom and non-telecom benefits and Falla brought Qatar’s youth targeted music and entertainment benefits on top of great data allowances. For Qatar’s expatriate residents, Vodafone Connect empowers them to stay close to everything they love the way they want.”

Through their partnership with Urban Point, Vodafone Connect offers hundreds of attractive discounts and buy-one-get-free offers every month to the best restaurants, spas, beauty centres and fun attractions in Qatar allowing customers to stay close to their lifestyle for less.

Vodafone Connect customers get to enjoy, exclusively, a one month free trial of the app and then for every month they pay QR10, they enjoy a month free; this is a 75 percent saving on the normal price of QR19 per month. Customers will also be able to pay the app’s subscription fees through their Vodafone line with no need to add credit card information.

Vodafone will be hosting several Bollywood movie premiers and many other movie classics throughout the year especially allowing Vodafone’s Indian customers to stay close to the movies they love from home.

To enable customers to stay close to their children and get them started safely with smartphones, Vodafone Connect introduces the MONQI child’s smartphone for just QR299. This out-of-the box smartphone solution for busy and involved parents allows the setting of child’s phone usage limits, geo-location, application access management, monitoring of all activities and management and approval of contacts.

Available on both iOS and Android, the ‘My Vodafone App’ will enable customers to track their Vodafone Connect balance. Vodafone Connect will continually evolve empowering customers to get closer and closer to more of what they love.
