News & Views

• Kuwait's Aref Investment Group, a unit of Kuwait Finance House, said it has won an appeal verdict ordering Gulf Africa Holding, to pay $31.35mn to the company. This sum represents the value of what Aref had injected in Sudan's Nile River Transport Co.
• Kuwait Investment Corp. and Malaysia's Employees Provident Fund, have agreed to become cornerstone investors in the planned $2bn IPO of IHH Healthcare Bhd. KIA has agreed to invest $150mn, while EPF is planning to invest $200mn.
• Kuwait's National Ranges Co. has settled all legal disputes with Commercial Bank of Kuwait regarding a debt of KWD 22.16mn ($79mn) it owes to the lender.
