KL shares mixed at mid-morning

Malaysian shares turned mixed at mid-morning today with the benchmark index staying in negative territory as most players stayed on the sidelines due to the lack of market moving news, dealers said.
At 10.45 am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) fell 0.68 of a point to 1,253.16, after opening 1.22 points lower at 1,252.62.
The FBM Emas Index slipped 2.341 to 8,393.56, the FBM Top 100 was 4.56 points lower to 8,180.1, the FBM 70 fell 4.99 points to 8,138.28 but the FBM ACE Index rose 110.87 points to 4,591.66.
The Finance Index rose 3.87 points to 10,701.76, the Plantation Index, however fell 4.97 points to 6,071.89, the Industrial Index edged up 0.05 of a point to 2,688.27.
