NOTABLE BUYERS IN OCTOBER ‘09

• The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), Public Pension Authority (PPA), and Public Investment Fund (PIF) made no increases in holdings during the month making it the first time in the last 12 months.

• Makkah Construction & Development Co. increased its stake in Jabal Omar by SR25.3mn, taking its total holdings in the stock to 8.8%.

• Hamad Nasser Hamad Al Tuwaijri increased his 5% holding in Mubarrad by approximately SR8.3mn through a 1.9% increase.

NOTABLE SELLERS IN OCTOBER ‘09

• The Public Pension Authority (PPA) decreased its stake in Petrochem by 10.0% during the month from an earlier 26.2% last month. This amounts to an approximate SR748.8mn sale. PPA had increased its stake in Petrochem during the previous month. PPA’s total portfolio stands at SR23,999mn.

• Al Sha'er Trade, Industries and Construction reduced its holdings in Tasnee by 0.3% taking it to a current 11.4%.

• Jabal Omar Establishment reduced its stake in Jabal Omar by 1.2% in an approximate SR152mn sale. Their current holding in the stock is 41.6%.

• Riyadh Mohammed Abdullah Al Humaidan sold 1.4% of his holdings in NADEC, taking his total holdings in NADEC to 6.1%.

OTHER ACTIVITY

• Savola now holds 26.5% of Almarai vs. a 27.9% stake last month. This is largely due to Almarai’s acquisition of Hail Agriculture. Almarai’s total shares outstanding climbed to 115mn from a pre-acquisition figure of 109mn.

• Prince Sultan Mohammed Saud AlKabeer Al Saud also appears to have reduced his stake in reduced his stake in Almarai, however this could largely be due to Almarai’s acquisition of Hail Agriculture.
