Market Commentary
Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) witnessed a fluctuated performance all week long before ending its fifth trading session with a negative performance. Investors modes are swinging as third quarter corporate results keeps flowing. As measured by Global’s weighted General Index <.GLOB>, the KSE was down by 0.31% percent at the end of the week and closed at 203.07 points. On a year-to-date basis, the index was down by 1.62 percent. Also, Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) <.KWSE> price index was slightly down for the week, dropping by 13.40 points (0.18 percent) to close at 7,334.10 points. The market capitalization reached KD32.86bn. Market breadth was almost neutral with a marginal skew towards decliners this week as out of 160 shares traded, 65 shares retreated, against 62 stocks that closed at higher prices.
