UAE-based Dodsal Group, a leading player in the field of engineering, construction and exploration of hydrocarbons and mining, has clinched contracts worth over $160 million to construct two gas pipelines in Abu Dhabi, said a report.

The first contract, worth $85 million, is for the replacement of a 100 km pipeline linking Abu Dhabi Gas Industries’ (Gasco) Thamma C production facilities in the northeast to the firm’s Asab field in the south, the Pipelines International reported.

The 36 inch pipeline is part of the $1 billion Asab, Bab, Bu Hasa and Ruwais project to increase production, processing and distribution capacity at the fields by 140MMcf/d, the report added.

The second engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract includes construction of the 45km Mirfa – Habshan nitrogen pipeline.

Part of the joint venture industrial gas scheme by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) and Germany’s Linde, this pipeline will link Mirfa, in west Abu Dhabi, with the Habshan oil field, located in the south of the capital.

The contract involves the construction of a 48 inch nitrogen pipeline linking Mirfa with the Habshan oil field in Abu Dhabi.

Dodsal has worked on a numerous of oil and gas contracts in Abu Dhabi including a number of pipeline projects for subsidiaries of the state-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.
