Qatar Insurance Company (QIC), one of the largest insurance service providers in the Mena region, has rebranded itself as ‘QIC Insured’, and has also launched a seamless ‘one-stop online solution’ to make the experience of buying personal insurance services much easier and hassle-free.

The unveiling of the new log and announcement of its enhanced online services were made in a press conference held at the company’s headquarters in Doha yesterday.

“We have realised that changing the log and rebranding our personal lines will help us to position ourselves against our international competitors,” said Fredrik Bisbjerg, Executive Vice President at QIC Insured.

Bisbjerg, who is also the Head of Group Retail business, said: “ We have completely revamped our website to provide a true seamless one-stop solution for personal insurance as people do not want to go anywhere (to buy insurance products).”

He added that even customers with other insurance providers will be able to switch to QIC Insured in a very smooth manner. “There is no need to go anywhere for the inspection of vehicles. We have a lot of advanced tools that can do the job from ‘quote-to-claim’ online without any hassle.”

However, he said that the company will continue to have its branches for customers who like to come in person and see the “friendly faces” of its staff. He also said that the company has increased the capacity in its call centres significantly to address personal queries.

Marking two years of significant growth and success in the company’s personal insurance products, the regional insurance giant is now ready to take its products, services and consumer brand to the next level.

The new brand is created to be positioned against the international insurers in the other GCC countries too and the new styling direction — ‘U’ smiley with a clear reference to the colors of the QIC Group underlines the focus on customer service and friendliness that is built in to the online solutions and related call center services– that expresses the performance through design and carves out a clear identity around convenience in a more expressive style. Salem Al Mannai, Deputy Group President and CEO at QIC Insured (Mena region), added: “Building on our vast experience with personal lines from the last 50 years, we introduced online sales of the personal insurance products two years ago which from the very inception was a great success. We’re now ready to build on those experiences and radically change our service offerings and our brand positioning”

Al Mannai added: “We understand that the most important aspects when selecting personal insurance are trust, customer service and price and we are placing ourselves to keep the pole position on all three aspects in Qatar With the rebranding and launch of our new platform, we will further cement our position as the leading insurance company in Qatar and the region.”

Besides focusing even more on ease of use, convenience and offering the right products at the right price, the new online platform introduces a very modern brand universe under the new name.
