BlackBerry users in Kuwait can now enjoy special offers from Wataniya Telecom, representatives from the company announced yesterday during a press conference held at the Marina Hotel. "Wataniya Blackberry is going to be the evolving face of telecommunication in Kuwait," said Scott Gegenheimer, the General Manager and CEO of Wataniya Telecom.

The BlackBerry solution brings together smart phones, software and services to allow easy wireless access to email, phone, calendars, Internet, multimedia and other business and lifestyle applications. Wataniya customers in Kuwait will now be able to enjoy the freedom and productivity benefits of using BlackBerry smart phones to stay connected to people and information on the go.

By providing the BlackBerry solution to customers in Kuwait, Wataniya further demonstrates its commitment to providing innovative technology and sophisticated products to satisfy the needs of its customers, and as such, will offer unique service plans to meet customer needs and expectations," Scott Gegenheimer said.

The BlackBerry solution is the ideal choice for customers who are looking for mobile phones that can serve both business needs and entertainment. The depth of functionality and variety of applications available for BlackBerry smart phones makes them ideal for both enterprise users and consumers alike," he added.

The Blackberry is not a new product to Kuwait, as there are many operators offering the device as well as the service. "Wataniya Telecom stands here today to tell everyone that Blackberry has just gotten better. Our launch today was held to meet the demands of our customers. Its not related to competition, but to be closer to our customers," noted Gegenheimer.

BlackBerry is for people who are looking for mobile handsets that serve both business and entertainment purposes. "But in the case of Wataniya, we offer our consumers much more than that. We offer them flexibility, clarity, simplicity and comfort along with the Wataniya Blackberry," he stressed.

Starting from today (Tuesday) Wataniya customers are able to choose from three different entries for the post-paid customers. "The KD 9 is the entry price, and the customer will pay per kilobyte. Then there is the middle entry with unlimited use of kilobytes, for KD 13. It is suitable for chatting and text messages for frequent users. For business use, we prepared the KD 25 entry, which includes roaming, emails and many other unlimited facilities," Gegenheimer pointed out.
