National Gas & Industrial Company(GASCO) is a publicly listed company, involved in the production, distribution, transportation via underground pipes, and shipping, of liquefied petroleum and natural gas. It also manufactures glass products, oil and gas equipment,as well as repair and maintenance services. GASCO was established in 1963 as a result of a merger between National Gas Company in Dammam, its two branches located in Riyadh, and Saudi Manufacturing and Gas Company in Riyadh and its branches in Dammam. Later on, in 1970, several other smaller companies were also acquired by GASCO. In 1975, due to low service levels and irregular supply of gas to customers, Saudi government merged the parent company with National Manufacturing and Gas Company. It became listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange by 1993. The main activity of the company is transportation, filling and marketing LPG, which consists of both butane and propane gases or butane or propane separately. The company's activities also include marketing cylinders, empty tanks, related spare parts, and tank transportation equipment to consumer sites. They serve clients from residential, industrial, agricultural, or commercial sectors. In order to achieve this objective, the company owns many filling stations, a remarkable transportation and distribution fleet. Also the company covers all aspects of the manufacturing, transferring and marketing of petroleum products; chemical; glass; auto parts; equipment service centers; and the establishment and maintenance of petroleum equipment and vehicles. It also owns property and is engaged in the purchase of land for the construction of buildings and investments,and sales and leases, for the company.
