Activities

Saudi Cable Company (SCC) was established in Riyadh, on 1st January 1975 as a joint venture solely between Xenel Industries and Anaconda. SCC is the only total cable system provider in the Middle East. Based in Jeddah, it was the first cable manufacturer established in the Arabian Gulf, and remains one of the largest cable manufacturers in the region. The company has stakes in Saudi Information Development Industries, Alujain Corporation and Sonic Telecom.SCC is involved in the manufacture and marketing of rails, electric cables and wires. It produces energy cables, switchgears, insulators, overhead lines conductors, towers, cable materials, transformers, and optical ground wire. The SCC Groupconsists of four main business groups: Midal Cables (Bahrain aluminum and alloy conductor manufacturing), Mass Projects (providing turnkey energy and telecoms solutions), Elimsan (Switchgear industry in Turkey) and Demirer Kablo (the world's leading manufacturers in high and extra high voltage energy cables industry). SCC offers a complete spectrum of services, from design and engineering to manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning. It also produces a range of conductors and cable products, and is involved in production, all the way through the sale point, of copper rod and polyvinyl chloride. It also offers turnkey solutions for power and telecom projects. A truly global cable solution specialist in energy and telecom systems, SCC enjoys strategically located manufacturing in three countries and is serving customers in over 60 countries, with a workforce of 5000 employees on its payroll.
