Omantel has signed a first-of-its-kind strategic agreement with enterprise software and business solutions provider SAP for Oman-based managed cloud implementation. This arrangement enables Omantel to offer locally present managed cloud implementations, whether it is on the client's premises or hosted elsewhere in Oman.

Fadi Nasser, General-Manager ICT Unit at Omantel said: "We are pleased to join hands with SAP who are helping us ensure that our leading technology offerings are hosted within our borders.

When clients consider the networking, software, hardware, professional services and optional hosting offered under this new agreement, the value is unchallenged and the savings are multiplied quickly, especially with available services like monthly payments and flexible business models."

Waheed al Hamaid, Country Manager, SAP Oman, added, "Our latest partnership in Oman with one of its leading telecommunications companies reiterates our commitment to fulfilling the digital economy growth objective of the Sultanate of Oman.
