Cementing their commitment and efforts toward enabling and empowering Qatar's SME ecosystem, Commercial Bank and Seib Insurance held a joint online webinar titled: The Safety Net: Identify, Combat & Protect against Cyber Threats & Fraud.
The event was part of the DHL4SMEs program, which aims to empower small and medium-sized enterprises by providing direct access to timely insights from industry leaders and subject matter experts.
The DHL4SMEs programme is shaping a scalable, nationwide support hub for SMEs, providing them with knowledge, expertise, and technical assistance across various areas of their operations and stages of their growth journey. Key topics tackled during the webinar included emerging cyber threats and common attack paths, particularly those related to GenAI (Generative Artificial Intelligence).
With Commercial Bank as DHL4SMES' trusted financial partner and Seib Insurance as its insurance partner, the program is extending its resources and scope to critical areas for SME continuity and risk management in a
fast-evolving economic and business landscape.
Fahad Badar, EGM, Chief Wholesale and International Banking Officer of Commercial Bank said: "Building on our partnership through DHL4SMEs, we remain dedicated to empowering Qatar's SMEs with the knowledge and tools to grow confidently."
"Our strategic focus on Enterprise Banking supports the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, positioning SMEs as a cornerstone of economic diversification and future prosperity. Commercial Bank is committed to helping them stay aware and protected from fraud."
"The business landscape, thanks to the government's support, is evolving faster than SMEs would have it, with risks and threats becoming increasingly interconnected and complex in the age of AI and digital transformation.
With the support of partners like Commercial Bank and Seib Insurance, DHL4SMEs plays a critical role in supporting SMEs, ensuring that they remain focused on their growth, and offering them broad access to expertise and insight. Equally important is the cross-disciplinary knowledge SMEs need to acquire for corporate strategy and business planning, whether that's in finance, insurance, or cybersecurity," says Maneesh Nair, Chief Technical Officer - General Insurance at Seib Insurance.
