Global Investment House (Global) announced today the appointment of Mr.
Michael Helou in the capacity of Executive Vice President to head the Investment Banking business of the
company.
Mr. Helou is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science and brings almost 20
years of investment banking and advisory experience to Global. He spent most of his career at Rothschild in
various roles in both London and Hong Kong and in 2006 moved to the region to set up and head the firm’s
investment banking business in the Middle East. Following Rothschild, Mr. Helou spent several years at
Barclays Capital as the head of their Financial Institutions Group in the Middle East and North Africa.
Mr. Helou brings a wealth of experience to Global across many areas including Mergers & Acquisitions,
Equity and Debt Capital Markets, Restructuring and Privatization.
Mr. Bader Al-Sumait, Chief Executive Officer at Global said, “We are pleased to welcome Mr. Helou to the

It is worth noting that the appointment of Mr. Helou is part of the company’s plan to strengthen its
management team by hiring experienced professional in major areas to further develop its core business.
