The MSM30Index fell by 0.33 per cent to close at 4991.38 points. MSM Sharia Index closed at 711.64 points, marginally down by 0.03 per cent. Bank Nizwa was the most active in terms of volume while National Life & General Insurance was the most active in terms of turnover. Bank Sohar was the top gainer, up by 2.65 per cent, while the top loser was Sohar Power, down by 6.34 per cent.

A total number of 467 trades were executed on Sunday, generating a turnover of OMR1.92 million with 10.82 million shares changing hands. Out of 37 traded securities, 7 advanced, 14 declined and 16 remained unchanged. GCC and Arab investors were net buyers for OMR169,000 followed by foreign investors for OMR42,000 while Omani investors were net sellers for OMR210,000 worth of shares.

Financial Index was down by 0.48 per cent to close at 4991.38 points. Bank Sohar, Taager Finance, Alizz Islamic Bank, Gulf Investment Services and Muscat Finance increased by 2.65 per cent, 1.63 per cent, 1.32 per cent, 1.32 per cent and 0.89 per cent, respectively.

Industrial Index fell by 0.27 per cent to close at 6,728.89 points. Galfar Engineering and Oman Fisheries declined by 2.56 per cent and 2.19 per cent, respectively.

Services Index ended at 2,600.11 points, down by 0.21 per cent. OIFC and National Gas gained by 0.78 per cent and 0.34 per cent, respectively. Sohar Power, Renaissance Services, Phoenix Power, Muscat City Desalination and Jazeera Services declined by 6.34 per cent, 1.30 per cent, 0.79 per cent, 0.62 per cent and 0.60 per cent, respectively.
