Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) in partnership with VISA International, announced yesterday the launch of an extensive ‘QIB VISA Discount Programme’, covering over 850 merchants globally and over 70 merchants in Qatar. QIB VISA cardholders can visit the Bank’s website to view all the participating retailers in Qatar and around the world who offer exclusive discounts on using the QIB cards.

With the new programme, QIB VISA cardholders will get discounts on their room bookings, spas, and salons in number of premium hotels in Qatar beside many other merchants such as restaurants, shopping and outlets. QIB VISA cardholders now have access to a list of more than 70 select retailers across the country.

D Anand, General Manager of QIB’s Personal Banking Group stated: “Whether our customers are in Qatar looking forward to enjoying a variety of entertainment activities or if they are abroad to discover new adventures, the QIB VISA Discount Programme will complement their plans by offering them access to a diversity of merchants and retailers in Qatar and around the world.”

QIB continues to strengthen its position as a leading Bank offering tailor-made financial solutions. Earlier this year, QIB became the first bank in Qatar to offer Visa Checkout, an innovative digital payment service offered to all QIB VISA credit and debit cardholders that makes online purchases simpler, faster and safer. Additionally, QIB received the “Best New Islamic Product” in Qatar from Visa International for the launch of its well-received ‘Murabaha’ based credit card. QIB’s ladies customers were recently introduced to a new VISA Signature credit card. The card, which offers a variety of exclusive benefits, complements QIB’s Ladies Banking proposition designed to cater to the financial needs of ladies in appreciation for their role in the Qatari society.

“We will continue to provide tailor-made products and services to suit our customers’ needs anywhere and anytime,” added Anand.

Access to the discounts is automatic to all QIB VISA cardholders, for more information on QIB’s cards or QIB VISA Discount Programme, please visit the Bank’s website. The dedicated webpage allows customers to view the list of promotions based on their chosen country and category of QIB VISA card that they hold.
