Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar’s leading Islamic Bank, announced that it has received two awards from the “Arab Best” Awards.

The Bank was recognised as the “Best Management team in Banking and Financial Services in the Arab world for 2017” while Bassel Gamal, QIB’s Group CEO, was ranked seven amongst the best 100 Arabian CEOs and number one across the banking sector according to the published ranking.

The awards were received by Bassel who attended the ceremony held in the Kingdom of Morocco.

The “Arab Best” awards were launched in 2016 to recognise the best in the Arab World in the following categories: Leadership, Business and Community and Sports.

The awards committee recognised QIB’s efforts in establishing itself as a leading banking institution in the region while cementing its position in its home market, Qatar.

QIB has demonstrated steady financial growth over the past few years and has been setting a benchmark for Islamic Banks in the region with its embrace of cutting-edge banking technologies and its customer-centric approach that guides the design of its Shari’a compliant products and services.

This strategy is guided by Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and implemented by a team of highly-skilled and dedicated employees.

“The awards are a testament to both QIB’s efforts in providing a comprehensive portfolio of banking services and to the strength of the banking sector in Qatar,” said Bassel Gamal, QIB’s Group CEO. “We are pleased for this recognition which is the result of our customer’s trust and loyalty, the wise leadership of our Board of Directors and the commitment of all our employees to deliver the highest standard of banking services.”
