Shamil Bank, a leading Bahrain-based Islamic commercial bank and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ithmaar Bank, has tied up with one of the Kingdom’s largest business groups, the Jawad Group, to launch a month-long promotion.

The promotion, which will allow users of Shamil Bank’s Debit and Credit cards exclusive discounts at Jawad Group’s Fashion and Furniture divisions, kicks off on December 1.

As part of the promotion, Shamil Bank ATM (debit) and Credit cardholders will get a 15 per cent discount at Jawad Group’s fashion division companies stores when they pay with their Shamil Bank cards. There will be no minimum limit for fashion brands, meaning that customers will be eligible for the discount on every transaction.

The promotion will also offer cardholders a 15 per cent discount at Jawad Group’s furniture division companies when they use Shamil cards to pay for purchases of BD100 or more.

“We are particularly pleased to be able to tie-up with such a large, heavily diversified group that represents many of the most popular retail brands in Bahrain,” said Shamil Bank Retail Banking assistant general manager Mohammed Janahi.

“I am confident the promotion will appeal to both Shamil Bank and Jawad Group customers and will help further reinforce our unique offerings,” added Jawad Group Corporate Division manager Kareem Jawad.
