Under the patronage of Princess Hessa bint Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, Al-Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd participated as a strategic partner in the national forum for promoting women competitive level in the work and business sectors entitled “Distinction for Success” that was held recently in Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University.

AlSharif Monther bin Tarad AlHarthi, CEO of AlRabie Saudi Foods Co., said Al-Rabie’s participation in such an important national event came within the framework of Al-Rabie’s commitment to support corporate responsibility programs and opening work fields for Saudi female students and female citizens who seek jobs. AlSharif said such endeavor stemmed from the company’s responsibility toward the Saudi society, belief in the forum’s role in highlighting the reality of Saudi women workers, promoting women access to job vacancies, raising awareness about the availability of diverse career opportunities, as well as the forum’s role in linking employers with jobseekers, guiding women with commercial ideas to enter into entrepreneurship business arena in order to engage in producing successful investment projects.

AlHarthi stressed that Al-Rabie has opened doors for employment of Saudi women, who represent 7% of the company’s Saudi employees and enjoy many privileges that suit their special nature such as their own convenient means of transportation, suitable number of daily working hours, two days off per week. They also enjoy the other remaining privileges of their men counterparts such as annual increase, annual bonus, training and promotion opportunities. He added that women have demonstrated high efficiency in all mandated work commensurate with their capabilities, capacities and directions.

He also said Al-Rabie’s experience with women was a successful and promising one, giving the company’s top management a distinct impression about their performance, yet encouraging reliance on them in leadership positions and working effectively to increase the proportion of female staff in the company.

The forum attracted the participation of elite of women experts, academics and executives from the international and local communities relating to work and entrepreneurship fields. The forum has also witnessed the presence of huge female students and job seekers, job exhibitors, women investors, women in charge of business incubators and pioneering women entrepreneurs.
