Qatar's main stock market index ended Monday's trading session higher, supported by broad-based gains across several sectors.
The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange rose by 79.71 points, or 0.72%, to close at 11,204.69 points.
During the session, more than 128.3 million shares were traded, with a total value of about QAR 331.8 million, across 21,698 transactions involving all sectors of the market.
Shares in 37 listed companies finished higher, while 14 declined and two remained unchanged.
Market capitalisation rose to approximately QAR 671.4 billion by the close of trading, up from around QAR 666.2 billion in the previous session.
Analysts said the gains reflected positive investor sentiment, with buying interest evident across a range of blue-chip stocks.
