Ooredoo QSC (previously known as: Qatar Telecom) is a public company, based in Doha, Qatar and was established in November 1998. Ooredoo is listed on Qatar Exchange (QE) since January 1999. In 2013 Qatar Telecom changed its name to Ooredoo. Ooredoo Group operates a portfolio of brands including Ooredoo Qatar, Asiacell, Indosat, Nawras, Wataniya, Tunisiana and Nedjma. The company is a leading international communications company with a customer base of more than 100 million across the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia. The group's principle activities are focused on mobile telephone services, digital futures, fiber technologies, broadband solutions, serving both businesses and consumer markets. It provides a range of telecommunications products including both national and international wireline and mobile telephony. It also offers ADSL, Internet and Data services, Wi-Fi and Cable TV services. Moreover, it also provides M2M (Machine to Machine), M2M/IoT, roaming, multi-country VPN and converged fixed mobile voice solutions; cloud video conferencing, data center solutions, and cloud Wi-Fi and cloud security solutions with virtual meeting rooms and digital signage; and virtual PABX, Web hosting, and LAN solutions, in addition to management services. The company provides its services primarily in Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, Indonesia, and other parts of the Middle East and North African (MENA) region.
