Qatar's stock market ended Monday's trading session with strong gains, as the benchmark index rose by 182.5 points, or 1.69%, to close at 10,967.86 points.

Trading was active across all sectors, with about 156.4 million shares changing hands in 26,649 transactions, worth approximately QAR 452.8 million.

Shares in 45 listed companies closed higher, while five stocks fell and four remained unchanged by the end of the session.

Market capitalisation increased to about QAR 656.7 billion, up from around QAR 646.2 billion in the previous trading session.

The rise reflects broad-based buying interest, as investors reacted positively to market developments and corporate performance across the exchange.
