The Qatar Exchange continued following its downward trend and closed the Thursday’s trading session in red at 8,311.22, down 0.2 percent as compared to the yesterday’s performance.
Small cap, micro cap and large cap indices ended the session in red zone.
Decliners outnumbered the advancers with a margin of 16 to 23 and the price of 1 company remained unchanged.
Banks & Financial Services sector performed worst amongst the Qatari sectors, dropping 0.32 percent. Telecom followed it with 0.15 percent.
However, Real Estate advanced 0.32 percent.
Heavy weights performed in a mixed fashion. Masraf Al Rayan dropped 1.17 percent. Barwa Real Estate on the other hand came out as the best performing heavy weights with 0.55 percent.
Al Ahli Bank of Qatar switched its performance from yesterday’s top loser to today’s major gainer of the day, rising 3.72 percent. While, Qatar Cinema Film Distribution Company topped the chart of losers, pairing 6.88 percent.
The volume of the shares traded fell 26.62 percent to 2.42 million and the value decreased by 14.22 percent.
