The Qatar Exchange continued stepping its way higher in the green territory on Tuesday 29th Jan 2013. The index advancing over 0.28 percent reached at 8,689.69 levels.
Only Micro Cap ended the session in red zone.
Advancers outnumbered the decliners with a margin of 21 to 14 and the prices of 5 companies remained unchanged.
Telecom sector outperformed amongst the QE sectoral indices, zooming up by 0.69 percent. Industrial followed it with 0.48 percent.
Seven out of the top ten market cap companies landed in the green zone. Ezdan Real Estate performed best amongst the heavy weights, going up 1.65 percent. Qatar Electricity Water Company followed it with 1.28 percent each.
Qatar Islamic Insurance Company secured first position on the chart of gainers’, surging 4.06 percent to close the day at QR 56.3.
While, Qatar Cinema Film Distribution Company topped the chart of losers, pairing 6.53 percent.
