It is with great pleasure that I participate in the 40th anniversary celebrations of Arab News.
Over the years the Saudi English daily has mirrored Saudi Arabia's economic achievements to countless readers within the Kingdom and outside.
As we open our local stock market to foreign investors, represented by Qualified Foreign Institutions (QFIs), on June 15, foreigners who follow Saudi stock market news for their future investments will read the newspaper to learn more about announcements from the Capital Market Authority, news from public listed companies, and professional analysis about the market.
As a member of the Group of Twenty (G-20) and The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), Saudi Arabia's move to allow direct access to foreign investors is a major development for our capital market and for our economy.
It is indeed an exciting time for CMA, stakeholders, and readers who follow our market's news all over the world.
I wish the newspaper and its team more prosperity and success.
Mohammed Aljadaan,
Chairman of the Capital Market Authority
