ADX market capitalisation rises to Dh430b in Q1

The market capitalisation of all listed companies on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reached over Dh430 billion at the end of the first quarter of 2016, marking an increase from the Dh417 billion recorded in the same quarter last year.

ADX said in a statement that March topped the monthly market capitalisation for the quarter.

Meanwhile, trade values on ADX reached a total Dh16.1 billion in Q1 2016 — up 15 per cent from the Dh13.6 billion in the same quarter in 2015. The ADX general index rose 1.93 per cent in Q1 2016 to reach 4,390.42 from a closing price of 4,307.26 at the end of 2015.
