The 2015 edition of three separate one-day event Amadeus Technology Show kick-started Sunday (March 29) at Park Hyatt Jeddah.

Held for the fourth consecutive year, the second event will be hosted at the Marriot hotel in Riyadh on April 6, after which it will move to Movenpick, Alkhobar for the concluding show on April 8, 2014.

Organized in partnership with Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, the event showcases Amadeus’ portfolio of e-commerce solutions that ensure a seamless booking experience to customers.

As a highlight of the event, Amadeus will also demonstrate the use of the newly released Hala Amadeus mobile application that offers live updates on industry news, products, and campaigns directly from Amadeus.

Nashat Bukhari, General Manager of Amadeus Saudi Arabia, said: “Amadeus’ latest report on the GCC travel sector has found that Saudi Arabia’s travel industry will continue to witness unprecedented growth over the next few years resulting from its youth driven demographics, rising number of seasonal travelers for Umrah and Haj and ever increasing online bookings expedited by the Arabization of website content. Undoubtedly, technology will play a key role in this transformation - influencing traveler behavior and supporting travel sellers and providers optimize their business and enhance their offering.

“Amadeus prides itself on the ability to understand the requirements of our key stakeholders and make available the right solutions that will benefit the industry. Amadeus Technology Show falls aptly in line with this objective and provides the ideal platform to showcase the wide array of technology products that are available to our partners and customers.”

Every year, Amadeus Technology Show draws the participation of owners, top decision makers and travel managers of travel agencies and corporations, as well as senior representatives from the travel and tourism industry including Saudia, Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO), General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA).
