Manama: A public issue of five-year government development bonds has been oversubscribed, the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced yesterday.
Subscriptions worth BD181.2 million (121 per cent) were received for the BD150m issue, which carries a maturity of five years.
The expected interest rate on the issue, which begins tomorrow and matures on July 30, 2020, is 4pc. The bonds are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Bahrain government.
